My Father-La Gran Oferta (The Great Offering), is the latest addition to the very well-known and prestigious "My Father" family. The cigars are rolled in the Garcia's large facility in Esteli, Nicaragua, with Cuban-seed binder and filler tobaccos grown on their own Nicaraguan farms. The wrapper is a very oily Habano Rosado and it's a medium to 3/4 cigar. La Gran Oferta translates to "the great offering," and the cigar features stunning artwork created after a very old cigar brand that sold under the same name, around 1913.
La Promesa, 'The Promise,' refers to the promise made by company patriarch Jose 'Pepin' Garcia to his family before leaving his native Cuba. He promised to prove himself, to make something of himself in the cigar world outside of Cuba. He promised to honor his family and his tobacco heritage. According to My Father, the company as it stands today with its farms in Nicaragua and factories in both Nicaragua and Miami is the fulfillment of that promise. My Father-La Promesa is covered in a dark, Ecuadoran Habano rosado oscuro wrapper, with binder and filler tobaccos from the Garcia family farms in Nicaragua.
Since the introduction of the My Father brand in 2008, two additional blends have been created to amazing consumer and industry success. Eight years later, the time has come to unveil the next vision in the My Father line inspired by a friend of the Garcia Family, we proudly present "My Father MF The Judge". Cloaked in a gorgeous dark brown Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, who's subtle sweetness hides an inner strength, this full bodied blend is rounded out by three different Nicaraguan fillers, all grown on the Garcia's farms as well as Corojo and Criollo binders.
Originally released in 2012, the Flor de las Antillas was named after Cuba; the largest and most beautiful of the Greater Antilles islands. With artwork from the early 1900's, the Garcia family once again honors THE ISLAND / THEIR BIRTHPLACE with this latest creation. This 3/4 to Full-Bodied blend is a perfect combination of Ecuadorian wrapper with Nicaraguan binders and fillers. The Habano sun grown Oscuro wrapper and the gentle box pressing give the cigar complexity and balance. The filler is a combination of tobaccos harvested from farms in La Estrella, La Bonita 1 and Las Marias, owned and operated by the Garcia Family. This cigar has an ideal combination of strength EXQUISITENESS / ELEGANCE / DELICACY, with notes of creamy leather and a sweet and salty finish that resounds on the palate, producing a beautiful white ash giving it a great finish.
