Flavor Notes: Red pepper Earthy, Raisin, Floral Cedar
Charter Oak Habano
Foundation is proud to announce a new edition to this highly popular line. Coming late September 2020, the Charter Oak will now be offered as well in a rich Habano.
The packaging on the Habano will display the same historic 600-year-old oak central to Connecticut’s legacy of independence and industry. It will be set apart by a warm, honey-colored box and black corner label. Like its predecessors, it will share the same five sizes in 20 count boxes as well as a larger count sixth size unique to the Habano.
“I am happy to have been able to blend a beautiful Habano wrapper into an expansion of the Charter Oak line, filling the profile gap between the CT Shade and the CT Broadleaf,” said Melillo. “This is a medium-bodied, spicy blend with amazing flavor at a great value.”
La Galera Habano
The Habano is a classic wrapper on a staple cigar for a classic company. An authentic Dominican cigar elaborated with the hands of the best rollers of Tabacalera Palma. Blended around an outstandingly flavorful Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, the Dominican grown Corojo binder and filler made up of Piloto Cubano, Criollo 98, and Pelo de Oro, create medium-to-full, attractively consistent and aromatic smoke that envies no other.
CAO Pilon
A Pilon is a carefully layered stack of tobacco leaves that helps ferment the tobacco to maximize the flavor and color of the leaves. Dating back to 19th century Cuba, this natural method of fermentation delivers a taste and appearance that just can’t be reached otherwise. CAO Pilon uses this time-honored method to give you a cigar with deep, rich colors and unprecedented depth of flavor.
Alec Bradley Gatekeeper
This brand is the second release from Alec and Bradley. On this project, they worked together with the ‘Godfather’ of cigars, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at his factory in the Dominican Republic. With the Gatekeeper, they have opened the gates to new tobaccos and experiences. Ernesto has given the Rubin brothers the opportunity to grow as second-generation cigar makers.
La Gloria Cubana Serie R Habano
The La Gloria Cubana Serie R cigar utilizes an Ecuadorian grown Colorado shade wrapper, or Connecticut Broadleaf maduro, concealing an extensively aged blend of Mexican, Dominican, Brazilian, and Nicaraguan filler leaves. The result is a richer, spicier, fuller-bodied version of the regular La Gloria Cubana cigar line. Using thicker ring gauges, the Serie R helped pave the way for today’s thicker, bolder cigars. Experience the beginning of a legend.
Drew Estate Undercrown Sun Grown
The new Undercrown Sun Grown features an Ecuadorian Sumatra seed, Sun Grown wrapper. The binder is a Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut/Cured Sun Grown Habano, complimenting a powerhouse blend of Nicaraguan premium fillers. One leaf of extensively aged Ligero from the Nueva Segovia region along the border of Honduras has been selected to enhance the strength of the blend.
Last Call by AJ Fernandez
Since its inception as A.J.’s preferred nightcap, we’ve been getting requests to sell this cigar, and finally, it has been released to the public. Handmade in Esteli, this Nicaraguan puro might be short, but you’d be crazy to think it doesn’t pack a punch. Booming forward with a core of roasted nut flavors, spice, and a unique creamy, woodsy note.
PDR 1975 Corojo
The A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva is meticulously crafted in honor of Abe Flores, one of the best and brightest blenders in the business. Each cigar is crafted using a Dominican binder, a bevy of Nicaraguan Habano filler leaves, and topped in a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper. The result is medium in body, rich, and creamy. A delightful symphony of flavors.
